This is a used tank. A 250 gallon steel propane vessel, sold as-is from existing stock.
What 250 gallons suits
This is a supplementary rather than a whole-home capacity. It is the usual size for domestic hot water, a smaller pool heater, or a standby generator: steady but modest loads. Full-property heating normally steps up to 500 gallons.
Buying a used vessel
On a used propane tank, inspection status matters as much as capacity. Certification, year of manufacture and current inspection condition vary from unit to unit, and a tank that cannot be certified cannot lawfully be filled.
Contact us before ordering so we can confirm the certification and condition of the specific unit available, and supply whatever documentation exists for it. We would rather answer that question before you buy than after.
Installation
Siting, setback distances and installation are governed by NFPA 58 and by your state and local authority, and must be carried out by a licensed propane professional. Underground installation also requires prepared excavation, correct backfill and cathodic protection.
