Description
1,000 Gallon Underground Propane Tank with Riser
A new ASME-coded steel vessel coated for burial, supplied with a built-on riser. This is an underground tank — it is coated rather than painted, and is not intended for above-ground siting.
What the riser does
The riser carries the tank valve assembly and gauge up to ground level. Once the vessel is buried, everything an installer or delivery driver needs to reach — fill valve, service valve, gauge — stays accessible at the surface under the dome. Without one, a buried tank is unserviceable.
Typical applications
1,000 gallons is a whole-property capacity: a large home or commercial space, comfortably carrying a pool heater or standby generator on the same supply. Burying it is usually a siting decision rather than a capacity one, since a tank this size above ground is a large visible object with substantial setbacks.
Installation
Underground installation requires prepared excavation, correct backfill and cathodic protection via a sacrificial anode, all governed by NFPA 58 and by your state and local authority, and all carried out by a licensed propane professional.
Confirm your permit and installer before ordering. We deliver the tank; installation, filling, connection and permitting are yours to arrange.
